Leila Duly is a textile print designer and illustrator based in East London. Her work incorporates floral, natural and wildlife scenes developed from pencil sketches and hand-drawn in ink. Leila is inspired by the English countryside, the vibrant flower markets near her home, Victorian etchings and a love of bright vivid colour.

Leila has worked as a freelance print designer for the fashion industry since graduating from the University of Brighton in 2000. Her fashion prints sell globally to some of the world’s best known fashion brands.

Alongside her fashion print design work, Leila has created her own collection of prints and homewares with her unique hand-drawn botanical style, sold throughout the UK.

In 2013 Leila was commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces to create a bespoke print design of the embroidery from Queen Charlotte’s bed, to be seen alongside their ‘Secrets of the Bed Chamber’ exhibition at Hampton Court Palace.

During 2015 Leila researched, designed and created a poster-book of botanical line drawings specifically for colouring in and framing. ‘Floribunda’ was published by Laurence King in the UK on 7th April 2016 and around the world soon after.
